Director Andrew Gallery and Actor Colin Branca showed up to the DWS Scudder climate change on Via Rodeo Drive. When we arrived, the ski village that was designed to bring awareness to the potential impact of the earth's climate change was ruined by the rain. I think it was a perfect example of climate change. DWS wants to show that there are alternate investment opportunities to take on.
DWS Climate Change Fund is on the cutting edge of climate change investing as one of the first open-ended mutual funds which seeks to invest in U.S. and foreign companies involved in climate change adaptation and mitigation, or whose growth is supported by increased environmental regulation. Last weekend Colin Branca and I tried catching Beowolf at three SOLD OUT theaters before settling on a 2-D showing at the Grove. A week later I still wanted to see it but this time as in its IMAX 3D Experience glory. So I asked my good friend Pierre Baltadano if he wanted to go watch it at the Universal Studio's CityWalk IMAX; it was so much better in 3D. Don’t be an idiot. Go see Beowulf. See it on the biggest flippin’ 3D screen you can find. It has the thrills for both the action/fantasy fan and the cinéaste trying to follow modern progressions in filmmaking. This is filming future and on a beastly IMAX screen it feels like you are in the same world as the characters.
After a great show at the Hotel Café , we took the party to Club Hyde. We always do. Also taking it to Hyde was Colin Branca , Dan Spink, Andrew Gallery, ATL’s Evan Ross, Scary Spice, Kevin Connelly , and Paper Magazine’s Fabian Basabe .
The Motorola party on Thursday was so cheesy! The only thing good about it was the dancers and their wacky eccentric dance moves. Luckily I was traveling with an entourage so we made our own fun. Entourage included Golden Brooks, Colin Branca Dan Spink, Donna, and me Markus Molinari.
